Ruth Holland

Dr. Holland attended medical school and completed her residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

After training, Dr. Holland joined a private group practice affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania. She then went on to open her own solo practice in Chester County, PA, which encompassed adult general medicine, ages 16 and up, with an emphasis on chronic care management, women’s health, and hospital medicine. She is board-certified in internal medicine.

Her experience prior to Emerald Physicians also includes caring for patients in three nursing homes and a long-term acute care facility. While in Chester County,  she was involved in a variety of health care reform issues working to improve the County and State healthcare system and to advance healthcare excellence at all levels. Dr. Holland was very active in the Pennsylvania Medical Society, served on the Executive committee of Chester County Hospital and was President of the Chester County Medical Society before coming to the Cape.

Her professional philosophy is to treat patients as she would wish to be treated and to assist them to the best of her abilities in navigating a complex healthcare system. Her outside interests include family, music, horse-back riding, and environmental stewardship and conservation. Dr. Holland sees patients at the Strawberry Hill Medical Building, located at 1030 Falmouth Road, Hyannis.
